Your flat price
Your price is set when you book, based on what you told us: apartment size, how much stuff, stairs or elevator at each address, long walks, and items to take apart or put back together. It includes the crew, truck, fuel, blankets, wrap, equipment and tax.
If there's more than you booked
Your crew walks through before starting. If there's noticeably more than you booked, or access is different (for example, stairs instead of an elevator), they'll show you the new price using the same prices on our website. Nothing moves until you approve it. If you don't approve, you can cancel the move at that point at no charge.
What you need to do
- Have all boxes packed, taped and ready before the crew arrives.
- Reserve elevators, loading docks or parking if your building requires it.
- Be there, or have someone 18 or older there, at both addresses.
What we don't move
Pianos, gun safes, safes over 300 lb, pool tables, hot tubs, hazardous materials, plants, pets, cash, jewelry, important papers and prescription medicine. Please move valuables yourself.
Arrival window
Your crew arrives within the window you picked. If they arrive after it ends, you get $50 off your move.
Changes and cancellations
Change your date or cancel any time, free. Please email us with your booking number as early as you can.
Payment
No deposit. You pay by card when the move is done. Tips are optional and go 100% to your crew.
Coverage for your stuff
Every move includes basic valuation coverage at no extra cost: up to $0.60 per pound per item, as allowed by Texas rules for household goods movers. This is not full replacement value. Check whether your renter's insurance covers your things during a move.
Damage claims
Look things over when the crew finishes. Email hello@hoppymovers.com within 7 days of your move with your booking number, photos and a short description, and we'll respond within 2 business days.
Who does your move
Every move is done by a trained, insured Hoppy crew.
Information about your rights when you hire a household goods mover in Texas is available from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles at txdmv.gov.
